QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • How well are stock motors holding up with this setup? Any recommended internal upgrades ?

Here is the truth about turbos on this vehilce platform.

We have had reports of people running our turbos for many many thousands of miles on the stock platform. But with that said this product is considered a high perfromance add on.

There are many factors that go into success. some of those are the following:

    1. Engine Design and Strength: These engines are built with robust internals that can handle additional stress up to the 7 psi range after that robust internals are a must to handle the increased pressure.

    2. Boost Levels: The amount of boost pressure applied by the turbocharger at 5 psi is with in the acceptable level.

    3. Engine Management: Proper tuning and engine management are essential. A well-tuned engine can handle the added boost more effectively,

    4. Fuel Quality: Good higher octane fuel can help prevent knocking (detonation), which is critical when running higher boost levels.

    5. Maintenance: Regular maintenance becomes important with a turbocharged engine. High-quality oil, more frequent oil changes, clean the air filter, and wash the vehcile.

    6. Driving Habits: Aggressive driving and high RPM usage can exacerbate wear and tear on a turbocharged engine. respectful driving and allowing the engine to warm up and cool down properly help alot.

There is engine eternals that can help make the motor more robust. Forged pistons, connecting rods, and head studs.

  • I have a 2021 can am commander xt 1000r max..I love the machine..was thinking of adding the turbo especially for the mountain trips. It has a 100hp stock what will the turbo add for hp?

Can-Am as a manufacturer states the horse power level at the crank not the rear wheels. Your stock vehicle has 100 HP at the crank.

We at Force Turbos measures everything at the rear wheel.
Your model of vehicle has 65 rear wheel horse power. Our turbo system will add 40 horsepower to the rear wheel at 5 psi of boost.
Giving you 108 Rear wheel horse power or 150 to the crank. You will also get an extra 28 Ft lbs of torque.

That is a great question. Thank you for asking.

  • What octane fuel is best for this?

All of our turbo systems are designed to work with good 91 octane fuel with no more than 15% ethanol at the 5 psi boost levels. as boost starts going up we would like you to run higher octane fuels to control preignition and detonation on a stock more. Please call us for exact set up needs.

  • Will this work with the BRP Snorkel kit

The stock snorkle will work with a small modification of a 45 degree silicone fitting.
Or if you would like a true fitting custom snorkle we can build that for you.

  • Will this fit the 700xt?

No, this product will not fit the will this fit the 700xt
